Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 28, 2026
Effective date: March 28, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to AnyFleet (“we”, “us”, “our”). AnyFleet provides an offline-first iOS app for charter planning, checklists, guides, and community features, together with this website and our online APIs (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Capitalized terms not defined here may be defined in our Terms of Service where applicable.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide or that is tied to your account
Account and sign-in
When you sign in with Apple, Apple shares an identity token with our servers so we can create and secure your account. Depending on your choices with Apple, we may receive your email address (or Apple’s private relay address) and, on first sign-in only, your name. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
Profile and community
If you complete your profile, we may process display name, bio, optional location text (for example home port or region), nationality, social links, profile photo, profile visibility, and community memberships. This information may be shown to other users according to your settings and product features.
Device location (charter discovery)
If you use features such as “near me” in charter discovery, the app requests when-in-use location access. Only when you use those features may approximate latitude and longitude be sent to our servers as part of that search request to rank or filter results. We do not continuously track your location in the background for this purpose.
Local app content
Charters, checklists, guides, flashcards, and related content you create are stored primarily in a local database on your device so the app works offline. Data is sent to our servers when you sign in, sync, or choose to publish or share content.
Published and discoverable content
When you make a charter or other content discoverable or visible to the community, we process the information you include (for example charter name, destination or location text, dates, boat name, and coordinates you attach to a destination) and metadata needed to operate discovery, attribution, and moderation.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Server and network data
When you use online features, our servers and infrastructure providers may process technical data such as IP address, device or app identifiers present in requests, timestamps, and request logs. We use this to operate, secure, and debug the Services.
On-device diagnostics
The iOS app uses Apple’s unified logging (OSLog) for development and troubleshooting. Those logs stay on your device unless you choose to share them (for example via a sysdiagnostic or feedback to us). The app does not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs; the only packaged third-party library in the app is GRDB for local SQLite storage.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services (including offline sync, discovery, and community features).
- Authenticate you, protect accounts, and prevent abuse.
- Respond to support requests and communicate service-related messages.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety.
- Analyze aggregate or de-identified usage where permitted, to improve product design.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:
- Service providers that host our APIs, databases, or email delivery, under confidentiality and processing terms.
- Apple, as required for Sign in with Apple and platform services.
- Other users, when you publish content or use features that are designed to be visible to the community.
- Authorities or third parties when required by law or to protect the Services and users.
Charter and checklist content remains on your device until you sync or publish; published items are processed according to this policy.
5. Retention
| Data type | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is active and a reasonable period afterward for backups and legal obligations |
| Server logs | Typically a limited period needed for security and operations |
| Published community content | Until you delete it or close your account, subject to backups and legal holds |
| Beta / mailing list email (website) | Until you unsubscribe or we remove inactive contacts |
6. Your privacy rights
If you are in the European Economic Area (GDPR)
- Right of access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure in certain circumstances.
- Right to restrict processing or object where applicable.
- Right to data portability where applicable.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)
- Right to know categories of personal information collected and purposes.
- Right to delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell personal information).
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
In the app and on the web
- You may delete local data by removing the app (after considering synced or published content).
- You may request account deletion or data access via the contact email below where available in product flows.
- You control whether to enable location for discovery in iOS Settings.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information:
- TLS encryption for data in transit between the app and our APIs where HTTPS is used.
- Access controls and least-privilege practices for production systems.
- Offline-first design so much of your charter data stays on device until you choose to sync or publish.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers under applicable law.
10. Contact

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated date and, where changes are material, provide additional notice as appropriate (for example by email or in-app message).
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
